Crunchy Authentic Flavor: Japanese Freeze-Dried Natto Beans
Our "Freeze-Dried Natto" is a natural, plant-based food made by freeze-drying authentic fermented non-GMO soybeans crafted through traditional Japanese methods.
Because the moisture has been removed, the strong fermented aroma and sticky, slimy texture typical of fresh natto are significantly reduced. With a satisfying, nutty crunch, it is incredibly approachable for beginners and those who want to incorporate natto easily into their daily diet, while allowing you to enjoy the rich umami of soybeans anytime, anywhere.
This product is salt-free, additive-free, preservative-free, vegan-friendly, oil-free, and proudly made using Japanese soybeans.
3 Features of Our Freeze-Dried Natto
1. Authentic Natto Crafted Through Generations
We partnered with a long-established natto manufacturer in Miyagi, Japan, founded in 1949. They have faithfully preserved the foundational techniques of modern natto fermentation passed down by a doctor of agriculture, taking the time to slowly and carefully ferment the beans to perfection.
This product is very particular in using domestic high-quality soybeans, mainly "Suzumaru" from Hokkaido and "Tanrei" from Miyagi Prefecture. We rely on the natural flavor of the ingredients, so the use of sauce or mustard is not necessary. The finished product tastes like old-fashioned natto that is rich in nutrients.
2. Pure Ingredients: Non-GMO Soybeans & Natto Bacteria
This product contains only two ingredients: premium, non-GMO domestic Japanese soybeans and Bacillus subtilis natto. It is completely free from added salt, oils, MSG, preservatives, or artificial colors. It is a clean, vegan-friendly food that is safe for children, those monitoring their sodium intake, and even as a healthy meal topper for your pets.
3. Versatile: Enjoy Crunchy or Sticky
The freeze-drying process locks in the flavor and makes the beans completely shelf-stable without refrigeration. You can eat them mess-free right out of the bag as a crunchy snack, or rehydrate them with water to bring back the classic sticky, stringy texture of freshly fermented natto.
How to Enjoy Freeze-Dried Natto
- Eat it Dry & Crunchy: Grab a handful straight from the bag for a savory, low-carb snack.
- Use as a Topping: Sprinkle the dry beans over salads, pasta, pizza, soups, or yogurt for an instant boost of plant-based protein and umami.
- Rehydrate for the Traditional Experience: Place the desired amount of freeze-dried natto in a small bowl and add cold or hot water until the beans are just covered. Cover with plastic wrap, let it sit until the water is well-absorbed. Drain any excess water, stir thoroughly until sticky strings form, and enjoy!
