We ship worldwide direct from Tokyo, Japan. We offer two shipping methods for international orders; EMS, Airmail, and Surface Mail. Meanwhile, we use Yamato Transport for domestic Japan delivery. All shipping fees are in Japanese Yen (¥). Please see the shipping information from the following table of contents.

Yamato Transport

Shipping to Japanese Hotel Addresses
If you’re staying in Japan and would like to receive your order at your hotel or accommodation, please take note of the following impotant points:
1. Hotel Acceptance: Before placing your order, confirm with your hotel if they can accept a package from Yamato Transport with you as the recipient.
2. Room Number Requirement: Many Japanese hotels will not accept packages at the front desk unless your room number is provided. Please contact us with your room number and the date you’d like the package delivered. If the room number is unavailable, ensure the hotel can accept the package under your name during your stay.
3. Non-refundable Shipping: If the hotel cannot accept the package and it is returned to our warehouse, please note that the shipping fee is non-refundable.
4. Order Timing: To ensure timely delivery, please place your order at least one week before your expected delivery date. For pre-order products, we recommend ordering two weeks in advance. Special requests such as hotel deliveries require advanced notice to guarantee arrival during your stay.

We categorized the international shipping fees based on the destination country’s area and shipping methods. The shipping fee includes packing fees. Please choose the country’s area to see the shipping fees.
Shipping Fee to ASIA Area
Available for EMS, Airmail, and Surface Mail shipping: Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
Available for EMS and Airmail: Bangladesh, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
Note to all customers shipping to the Philippines
There is a possibility of shipment delay to the Philippines. Please make sure to confirm with the Philippines Post Office they can accept the package before ordering. There have been cases where the package is stuck at the Manila Central Mail Exchange. If your package takes longer than usual to arrive, please contact the local post office, the package might be stuck at customs.

Calculating the Actual Shipping Cost
Check the actual shipping fee before making the order official. To do that, follow the steps below.
1. Add all desired items to the shopping cart.
2. Go to the checkout page and input the Contact Information and Shipping Address. Click “Continue to Shipping.”
3. See the actual shipping cost under the “Shipping method” section. (As shown in the image)

Import Duties and Taxes
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost. The orders may be subject to any additional charges by the customs authorities once a shipment reaches the destination country, as it was shipped with DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) incoterms. Any additional charges, including import duties and taxes, must be paid by the customer in accordance with the laws and regulations of the buyer's country.
Please confirm with your local customs office for customs estimations and information before ordering. KAWASHIMAYA has no control over these charges, nor can KAWASHIMAYA predict what they may be.
Note that delays beyond our original delivery estimates can occur when customs clearance procedures are required. To prevent this, the customer must proactively fulfill the import duties and coordinate with the local post once the product arrives in the buyer's country. In any case, if product-related documents are needed for customs clearance, please contact us for assistance.
Before placing an order, the customer must ensure that the product can be imported into their country. If the product is returned because it does not comply with the import regulations, it will be the customer's responsibility, and a refund is unavailable.
Shipping, Tracking, and Delivery Policies
Processing Time
・Orders typically process within 5-7 business days.
・Products marked as "Pre-Order" require an additional 1-3 business days for processing.
・Product marked as "Wholesale Pre-Order" require an additional of 1-2 months for processing.
・Please calculate your order arrival date by totaling processing days + shipping days.
・Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturdays, Sundays, or Japanese public holidays.
・We will notify you by email if your shipment experiences a delay beyond the standard processing times.
Shipping and Tracking
・Once your order ships, we will send you an email containing the tracking number.
・Tracking details may take up to 72 hours after shipment to become available.
・Regularly check the provided tracking information for updates on your package’s status.
Customer Responsibility
・Customers must remain reachable to handle customs clearance and final package delivery.
・IMPORTANT: Please proactively contact your local post office or customs office if tracking indicates your package has arrived in your country but you have not been contacted directly.
・Some local post offices may not actively reach out to customers upon arrival or during customs clearance, so please initiate the contact from your side.
Liability Disclaimer
・Kawashimaya will not be liable for delays or package returns caused by the shipping carrier or customs clearance processes beyond our control.
・If your package is returned to Japan due to unsuccessful delivery or because you were not contacted by your local post office, Kawashimaya is not responsible and cannot provide refunds for returned items.
Surface Mail Notice
・Surface mail tracking updates become available only after the package reaches the destination country's port. Therefore, do not be concerned if your package status remains "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" at Kawasaki Higashi Post Office, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, for an extended period.
・This process can take 1-3 months, depending on your location.
・Please allow an additional one-month buffer time for unexpected delays.
・For faster shipping option, please choose EMS or Air Mail.
Shipping Restrictions
Although Japan Post ships to most countries, there may be a case when we can't ship to your country due to shipping restrictions. You'll be notified on the checkout page when we can't ship all/specific items to your country.
