This is one of Yogurtia S' accessories (optional items), the soft-boiled egg stand.

A convenient egg stand for making onsen tamago or hot spring egg!

Hot spring eggs are made using the difference in the temperature at which egg white and egg yolks solidify.

Keep the egg at 65°C for 30 minutes to make a delicious hot spring egg.

※ Soft-boiled egg stand cannot be used with glass pot.
※ The container appeared in the image is sold separately.

This soft-boiled egg stand is so easy to install in the container. Just put it in and snap! It's installed.

It's in compact size, so you can store it even in a small space such as drawer.

You can also use it for Yogurtia S, Yogurtia, and KAMOSICO. The size is perfectly fit for the inner container!

You will also get a collection of ideas for recipes using hot spring eggs as their ingredient.

The collection includes three items of recipes: Oeuf ratatouille, Sōmen with soymilk soup with onsen-tamago on-top, and Unagi mixed with rice.

* Note: the pocket recipe is only available in Japanese.

How to Make Onsen Tamago (Hot Spring Egg)

  • Set the eggs on the egg stand

    STEP 1
    Set the eggs on the egg stand

    Insert the arm firmly into hole in the center, from the back of the bottom of the egg stand.
    Put four raw eggs on the egg stand.

    ※ If you just putting in two eggs, please put them diagonally.

  • Put the egg stand in the container

    STEP 2
    Put the egg stand in the container

    Put the egg stand in the inner container.

  • Pour hot water into the container

    STEP 3
    Pour hot water into the container

    Pour boiling water (about 600 ml) into the inner container.
    Pour until the water reach to 800 ml of the line scale on the container.

  • Close the lid tightly

    STEP 4
    Close the lid tightly

    Close the handle lid tightly until there is a "click" sound, then put the inner container in the main body of Yogurtia.

  • Set the temperature and timer

    STEP 5
    Set the temperature and timer

    Set the temperature to 65°C and the timer to 30 minutes, then press the start button.

  • Finish

    STEP 6
    Finish

    Take out the soft-boiled egg stand from main body of Yogurtia, and cool it with cold water for 5 minutes to complete the hot spring egg.

    And there, you have your delicious onsen tamago, or hot spring egg, finished!
