Pestides-free・non chemical fertilizer cultivation tea making by「Sakuranoen」from the Kumamoto Prefecture, through the first flush tea named as [Mukashi Kamairicha]. The tea leaves have been brought up under the sunlight without using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The indigenous species of first flush tea went into a process called (Kamairi) or pan frying. It is a green tea with a completely different taste from the steamed tea, a blended taste of umami and refreshing. It is also enticing to enjoy a different scent every time you infuse.

In the land of nature-rich Minamata

Sakuranoen is located in Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture, surrounded by nature. Since the opening of the 2nd year of Showa era, it has been handed down to the present generation that continued to value the traditional native tea breed. With the idea that tea will be a blissful connection between people, the tea making has been handled conscientious by a tea making family.
 

No pesticide / chemical fertilizer cultivation

[Mukashi Kamacha] were raised in tea plantation of Sakuranoen without using any pesticide and chemical fertilizer. It is a cultivation method that is practiced from the idea that nature and human body need to become accustomed to each other.
 

Enjoy a change in aroma with every cup of Kamairicha

[Mukashi Kamacha] is a pan fried tea of a native breed from the first flush (ichibancha). Native breed tea is a collection of different tea trees, grown from seeds of traditional varieties. Compared to cuttings, it has a deep root and is more resistant to insects and diseases. Sakuranoen's oldest native breed was planted in Showa 3. The first flush tea were carefully fried in an iron pot. The taste is completely different from steamed tea, tastes simultaneously umami and refreshing.
Nevertheless, the enticing part is that the changes of scent for each cup you infuse. 1st and 2nd infuse are savory and fragrant, while in 3rd to 4th infuse, it become more like Oolong tea, You can also enjoy the scent of a withered tea leaves.
