Customer's Voice

Following are the Organic Sencha Green Tea Loose Leaf reviews from our beloved customers on Amazon.

Excellent Green Tea

We have been drinking Sencha in tea bags, product of Japan, for quite few years. See pictures. We like the taste, and when I saw this offering of Organic Sencha, I had to give it a try.

Following the instructions – 80 deg C/ 176 F 60ml/ 2 oz of water 2-3 grams/ 0.07 - 0.1 oz of tea I had a tester ready (I doubled and tried one cup myself). The feedback from the tester, and I concurred – very nice taste, strong tea. I did a second steeping and it still kept the nice taste. The third steeping became weak.

For the pure taste and ingredient, I find this offering to be a good value for money. 100 bags were almost at the same price. But obviously the loose tea cannot be compared to the tea dust usually used in tea bags.

Premium Sencha Green Tea

Its only 3 calories per serving!! This green tea is the definition of premium quality and if its not because of the price, I think it would be a repurchasing item on my monthly list. However, as this is an import from japan directly, I do see the justification of the pricing.

The tea itself is very flavorful with slight sweetness undertones. The tea leaves are medium size and would be suitable for most japanese smaller tea pots.

A Story From Our Tea Manufacturer

Tea Farmer
A Story From Our Tea Manufacturer "We started earnestly working on organic farming in the year 1975”

Organic farming takes a lot of time and effort. Our tea manufacturer in Uji, Kyoto, has been working hard to keep the tea quality for more than 20 years and has been working on organic farming ever since 1975. They are very proud of the agriculture. .

One day in the summer of 1972, the current head of the tea farm collapsed in the tea plantation when he was spraying the pesticide. The doctor said that if he keeps spraying the pesticide in hot weather with light clothes, eventually, he could damage his liver.

With health in mind, our tea farmer decided to make organic, pesticide-free tea cultivation and doesn't use any chemical fertilizer. They have been putting effort and successfully cultivating their tea organically ever since through trial and error.
